Edward Freiberger (1857-1917) was a music critic with the Chicago Herald and drama critic of the Inter Ocean and editor of the Saturday Evening Herald (Chicago). In 1897 Freiberger began writing History of the Drama in Chicago for the Dunlap Society of New York, though it seems this work was not completed.
